The power of D&I: beyond biases for inclusive leadership

Many Italian companies still do not fully reflect the diversity of today’s society, both in terms of gender and multiculturalism. During this event, we will examine the biases that create disparities in treatment, hindering the establishment of inclusive and productive work environments. Additionally, we will provide concrete insights on how to address these challenges, demonstrating that managing diverse teams is not only a current necessity but also a source of value, innovation, and growth. The session will adopt a practical, hands-on approach to sharing concrete and measurable actions that can be readily applied in corporate settings.

Specifically, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • draw inspiration from the experiences of Fiona May, who will share how she has tackled the challenges of gender and racial stereotypes throughout her career. Through examples from the world of sports, participants will understand how these challenges parallel those found in corporate dynamics. Finally, she will offer her perspectives on combating common biases to foster a more respectful, inclusive, and bias-free environment
  • learn strategies from Giorgia Ortu La Barbera on integrating inclusive practices into leadership, including regular and constructive feedback, promoting open communication, and valuing gender and cultural differences. The aim is to increase team well-being and engagement, ultimately enhancing productivity.
