Feeling and making others feel relevant in the workplace (“mattering”): the impact on individual and group performance

Studies report that workers worldwide manifest high levels of stress (41%), disillusionment (70%), burnout (65%), the highest rates achieved in the past two decades.
Research is increasingly focusing on the concept of “mattering,” that is, the importance of mattering and feeling relevant in the workplace and beyond, because personal satisfaction has important consequences for the success of the entire company and other team members as well.
What can companies do to address this crisis and create a culture of well-being for workers? What practical interventions should be considered to increase the “spillover” of well-being across functions and all levels? How do you increase “mattering” in presence and remotely?

Participants will be able to explore:

  • the importance of feeling relevant in the workplace: studies from America to Italy on the consequences of mattering for productivity
  • from dissatisfaction to mental well-being: why 70 percent of leaders feel lonely and how this impacts performance
  • the framework it takes to increase mattering: practical strategies and timely interventions for each level of the company and hybrid mode of work
