We get criticism all the time. They come from different sides, both at work and in private. Sometimes they are an end in themselves but, often, they are advanced in the perspective of improvement. Yet, we are not always able to grasp the added value. Quantities, ways, timing of the interlocutor, sometimes united to our own attitude, often make us put on the defensive, preventing us from appreciating the value of criticism and the constructive elements, fundamental to improve ourselves.
So how to react to criticism? And how to make the most of it in terms of improvement, in life and at work?
During this meeting, through the confrontation with self-empowerment experts and sportsmen, participants will have the opportunity to understand how to better manage criticism, learning to deal with them, resizing the negative aspects to find the core, the useful and constructive side from which to make the most of life and work.
Gianlorenzo Blengini, former coach of the men’s volleyball national team winner of the silver medal in Rio 2016, will bring his experience as coach, telling his approach to the double role of "critic", against athletes, and "criticized"from people outside the team. Having therefore to be able, on the one hand, to always be able to make constructive criticisms and, on the other, to show how to be able to make the most of the criticisms received.
Federico Vagni, Expert in self-empowerment, through practical exercises expendable in the company, will give the tools to better accommodate a criticism also, and above all, when we do not consider it useful and constructive. The difficulty of dealing with criticism lies in understanding and grasping what is useful, even when we do not fully agree with it. This is the only way to get the most out of it for yourself, as people and in a team.
