Improvisational communication: crafting effective discourse with spontaneity

Centro Svizzero Via Palestro, 2 - 20121 MILANO

It is common to find oneself in a situation where one has to give a speech without having had enough time to prepare during a meeting or negotiation. In such cases, being able to improvise becomes crucial for managing performance anxiety and communicating naturally and effectively.

How do you handle an unprepared speech? How can you develop the ability to improvise even in unforeseen circumstances?

In this session, two experts from different fields will share their best practices for mastering the art of improvisation.

  • Paolo Ruffini will take participants through the secrets of the craft, using his own intervention as a case study for inspiration. With his expertise, participants will reflect on the importance of mastering conversation by using elements of continuity
  • Marco Marchegiani, a professor and expert in improvisation, will explain how to apply the rules of theatrical communication to public speaking. Through the sharing of best practices and practical exercises, he will illustrate how to perfect the ability to improvise and overcome the fear of judgment.
